    Keith A. Attlesey is a partner at Attlesey | Storm, LLP with 30 years of experience representing clients in real estate, business, and collectibles industry transactions and litigation.

    Mr. Attlesey was raised in Santa Barbara, California and earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a Business emphasis from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1989. While at UCLA Mr. Attlesey was a member of the Bruin Volleyball team and was actively involved in Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor in 1993 from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California, where he served on Law Review and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Writing and Research. Mr. Attlesey is admitted to the California State Bar and U.S. District Court, Central and Southern Districts of California.

    From 1993 until 1995, Mr. Attlesey practiced as an associate attorney with the Santa Barbara law firm of Reetz, Fox & Bartlett, representing clients in the development, leasing and purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate, landlord-tenant matters and collections. In 1995 Mr. Attlesey joined an Orange County, California based law firm specializing in representing REO departments of institutional lenders, property owners, property management companies and developers in landlord-tenant matters, including unlawful detainer actions, commercial breach of lease cases and collections. In 1996 Mr. Attlesey began his solo practice which expanded into a broad-based and sophisticated real estate and business practice, leading to the 2009 formation of Attlesey|Storm, LLP. For three consecutive years Mr. Attlesey was selected by Law and Politics Magazine as one of the top 5% of attorneys in Southern California, earning the publication’s designation of “Super Lawyer” in real estate.

    This presentation will delve into the legal implications and complications of artificial intelligence, discussing intellectual property complications, treatment of data and privacy issues, contract complications, sources of liability, and novel types of disputes. Specifically, as the real-world begins to make greater use of this technology, we explore what are the ramifications in responsibility, liability, and more that we should be thinking about, both as producers and users of these new technologies.


    Morvareed Z. Salehpour is Managing Attorney of Salehpour Legal, a law firm specializing in proactive, high-touch legal counsel and strategy for startups and established businesses, assisting in negotiating and best structuring their contracts and tech transactions and counseling them on issues involved with product and product feature launches, intellectual property licensing and protection, open-source issues, data and privacy rights, and use of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence. She has represented clients across the nation ranging from entrepreneurs and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies and works in a variety of industries, including all sorts of technology such as SaaS, software, digital health, AI, and biotech among others. Ms. Salehpour is a graduate of UCLA and UCLA School of Law. Morvareed is also Past-President of the Santa Monica Bar Association, Board Member and Career Chair for the UCLA Alumni Westside Bruins Network, and a regular speaker and writer on tech and business law issues. Salehpour Legal has also been recognized as a Top 100 Bruin Business by UCLA for 2024.
