Join us for a veterans DEI panel to discuss the benefits of hiring veterans, supporting veterans, and how we can help veterans through the legal system.
Janine Fountain Bio:
Sergeant Janine Fountain served on active duty from 1990 to 1994 and in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1996 to 1998. I was deployed to the Persian Gulf War in Operation Desert Shield/Storm and then Operation Restore Hope in Somalia with the First Marine Division. I have been a paralegal for 20 years and have been a member of the Orange County Paralegal Association for over 20 years. I was honored in 2015 to be the recipient of the OCPA Lifetime Achievement Award and have served in many capacities over the years as a Committee Chairman, Secretary, and Vice President of Policy to name a few.
Tai-lynia Jones Bio:
Tai-lynia Jones was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She joined the United States Navy in 2005 and was honorably discharged in 2013. She then served two years in the Air Force Reserves. After leaving the military, she dedicated eight years to serving veterans as an Office Assistant/Peer Support at the Veterans Center in San Diego and as a Veterans Benefits Coordinator at Cal State Los Angeles. She received my Paralegal Training Certificate from UCLA in August.
Allison Purcell Bio:
U.S. Navy Veteran Allison Purcell served from 2000-2007 as a FireControlman, in charge of Mark 23 TAS Radar System and transitioned to the JAG Corp as a Legalman in 2004. She spent several years serving in Great Lakes, IL at the boot camp, assisting in Non-Judicial Punishment proceedings, waivers for bad acts prior to entering boot camp and preparing for court martials. Allison then went on to get her associate’s degree in paralegal studies in 2010 from Fullerton College and her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of La Verne in 2012. Allison was a practicing paralegal for over 10 years before transitioning to the corporate world. She is currently the Litigation and IP Compliance Manager for Inari Medical, the 3rd largest growing company in Orange County. Allison served Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom on board the USS Detroit and then at Naval Station Great Lakes, working for both the Admiral of the Midwest Region and at Recruit Training Command.
Jonathan Dang Bio:
Jonathan Dang is currently the President of the Los Angeles Paralegal Association. He is currently a paralegal at Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP. He obtained his Masters in Studies of Law from USC and his Bachelors in Legal Studies from the University of La Verne. Jonathan has served in the Marine Corps Reserves for the past 17 years.
Antionette Naddour, Esq. Bio:
Antoinette Naddour is Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Veterans Legal Institute® where she oversees and has responsibility for the overall management of the firm including business development, outreach, public relations, marketing, strategic planning and a light legal caseload. Since co-founding the Veterans Legal Institute in 2014, over 10,000 veterans in crisis have benefitted from free legal services.
Ms. Naddour was an officer with the California State Guard for over 6 years and served in the rank of Major. She is presently Secretary of the Orange County Women Lawyers Association and was awarded its 2022 Attorney of the Year. She was a two term Director at Large with the Orange County Bar Association, a member of the Outreach and Pro Bono Committees and Co-Chair of its Military and Veterans Committee. She is also a Board Advisor for the Orange County Black Chamber of Commerce.
